When we negotiate a discount on your bill, we guarantee every penny of that discount for up to the first 12 months that it’s supposed to last. If the discount isn’t on your bill, or if it’s not the right size, we will be happy to make as many calls to your provider as necessary to make it right, or we’ll adjust our invoicing to ensure that you’re never charged more than 50% of the actual savings you receive as a result of our work.
We also guarantee that you won’t lose any services unless you specifically agree to them.
However, sometimes your bill may increase (or services may change) for reasons beyond our control. Unfortunately, that’s why we cannot guarantee the total bill amount. Some examples of increases that may happen on your bill, even with our discount in place, include:
- Cost of business price increases: Our negotiations typically include line item discounts, subtracting from the base price of a service. For instance, you might be paying $130 for bundled services, and we may negotiate a $20 a month discount on that bundle, bringing it down to $110. However, if your provider increases the base price of those services to $135 for all customers, you’ll still have to pay $5 more, even with our $20 discount still in place. There’s nothing we can do about this increase, but fortunately the discount we negotiated would still be there to ensure you’re paying $20 less than the base price!
- Increased taxes and fees: These fees vary by locality, and they can change all the time. Unfortunately, taxes are non-negotiable. A lower price service line item should still have the result of lower taxes though, even if the percentage of taxes increase.
- Discontinued services: If you’re on a grandfathered plan, your provider will eventually discontinue some services. This is non-negotiable — in the case of a cable bill, for instance, certain channels may be removed (or added) due to the ever-changing agreements your provider has with different television networks.
- Added equipment, services, upgrades, and one time rentals: Renting a movie, increasing your internet speed, or adding HBO are all examples of how you might increase your bill, despite our discounts still being applied. As long as our discount is in place though, we are still keeping your bill that much lower, no matter the total bill amount. If you make a change and you think that has resulted any losing the discounts we’ve negotiated, just let us know and we will investigate. Ultimately, we will only charge you for the reduction you are actually receiving from our work.
