If you’d like to stop working with BillFixers or cancel, we’re sorry to see you go, but we’ve tried to make it as easy as possible. We don’t want to be like a horrible cable company where you have to jump through hoops to cancel, so here it is as straightforwardly as we could figure out:
Since your account with BillFixers is really just negotiations of different bills, you can cancel each bill individually in your account. So, if you’d like to cancel just your cell phone negotiation, but not your internet negotiation, that’s easy. If we haven’t negotiated yet, all you have to do is click Cancel. There will be the option to tell us why (but you don’t have to) and then we’ll stop work right away. If you want us to cancel all your negotiations, just cancel all of them.
What if I can’t cancel?
Because we split any savings we negotiate with you, if we’ve already negotiated, there’s nothing to “cancel” on that negotiation. If you’re actually saving money every month, we think it’s fair for you to split those savings with us. So, on completed bills or bills that are still “Negotiating” but we’ve already locked in savings, that button won’t be there anymore.
Of course, that doesn’t mean you ever have to work with us again. You can still cancel any future negotiations. All you have to do is toggle AutoFix off and we won’t negotiate again without your express permission. Once you toggle AutoFix off, all our future negotiations will be cancelled until you toggle it back on.
You can update the AutoFix setting of a bill anytime from the bill’s individual page. Just click “View Bill” on the bill card and the setting will be in the top right.
What if I cancel service with my provider?
Our whole philosophy is that we’re splitting the saving with you. So, if you’ve cancelled your service and aren’t getting savings anymore, then we won’t charge you anymore. All we need is a copy of the final bill or a cancellation notice from them, so we can update the details on our side and figure out the final savings. You can send us a message on your bill or send us an email at hello@billfixers.com. Or, if you think something else is wrong, you can do the same thing. Then, we’ll update everything and remove any future charges from us.
What if this article didn’t help me and I still want to cancel?
Just shoot us an email at hello@billfixers.com or give us a call at (707) 532-4557. We’d like to help. If you don’t want to get any more monthly invoices from us, we can consolidate everything into one. If you don’t want to get any reminder emails about expiring savings, we can turn those off. We’d like to work with you to solve whatever the issue is and we’re serious about trying to provide good support and customer experience if something is wrong. But sometimes you just want to get on with your life. While we do think it’s fair to get our split of the savings, we don’t think you should have to do any business with us past that if you don’t want to.
